Stephen Marshall is an educator, musician, and arts advocate based in Portland, Oregon. He currently serves as a School Services Representative for Music & Arts, a leading music retailer. In this role, Stephen combines advocacy, commerce, and administrative support to help make music education more accessible and affordable for all students.
Driven by a deep commitment to supporting educators, Stephen focuses on relieving the administrative burdens that often accompany teaching. His service-first approach ensures educators can concentrate on what matters most: their students and their music programs.
As the Advocacy Chair, Stephen is actively engaged in expanding statewide data collection to support music education in collective bargaining, guiding early-career teachers toward full-time employment, and collaborating with policy teams to strengthen arts curriculum requirements at the state level.
Before joining Music & Arts, Stephen taught both privately and in classrooms across Texas, Louisiana, and Oregon. He is a proud alumnus of Oregon State University.
