Mari Schay is the Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Music Education at Portland State University. She is passionate about preparing future teachers to enter the PK-12 music classroom with humility and curiosity as well as the desire to serve all students in their schools by offering a broad curriculum in both traditional and modern music classes.
Prior to joining the faculty at Portland State University, she taught elementary and middle school music for 23 years. Mari is the author and editor of many curricular resources for general music teachers including pop music arrangements for Orff instruments.
