Laura Wagstaff has been teaching choir at Claggett Creek Middle School, in Keizer, Oregon since 2019. She earned both her bachelor’s degree in Choral Music Education and her Master of Arts in Teaching in Music Education from Oregon State University. In addition to directing the choral program, she helped establish the school’s mariachi program in 2023, creating new opportunities for students to engage with diverse musical traditions. Laura is deeply passionate about working in a Title I school, where she strives to ensure that every student has access to meaningful, high-quality music education that fosters creativity, confidence, and community. Outside of teaching, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her dogs.
