NAfME Webinar: Orff Inspired Programs: Planning and Processing

Elementary music teachers have a unique opportunity to create performances that showcase the variety of ways students make music in our classrooms every day. Orff-Schulwerk invites students to participate in music through speaking, singing, moving, playing instruments, and creating. By utilizing these Orff elements in formal performances, we can create playful performances that include students in the creative process. In this webinar, participants will learn how to create and organize an original music program inspired by the Orff-Schulwerk process. We will discuss how to write songs, create movement ideas, and involve students in this process. Additionally, participants will understand how to pace the teaching of a full music program over multiple weeks.
