NAfME Music Program Leaders Colloquium: Empowering Music Education Through Dynamic Partnerships

The goal of this session is to encourage music/arts leaders to seek out partnerships in their community that will help them advance their arts programs. 

Michelle Irvin HeadshotMichelle Irvin is the Coordinator of Fine Arts and Physical Education at the Scottsdale Unified School District in Scottsdale, Arizona. Previously she taught band and orchestra at Desert Mountain High School in the district for more than 20 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music teacher education from Northern Arizona University and holds IB Music Certification. She is a member of NAfME’s Council for Music Program Leaders. 

Natalie MarshNatalie Marsh serves as Director of Learning & Innovation at Scottsdale Arts, where she brings together her expertise as an educator and her passion for community building. She holds an MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University, a BFA from the University of Michigan, and a K–12 education certificate from Eastern Michigan University. She contributes to the field nationally and locally through service on several steering committees and initiatives, including Scottsdale Leadership, Blue Zones Project Scottsdale, and the US Department of Education’s Arts Integration Steering Committee.
