Ellie Auvinen (she/her) is a third-year choral music education major at the University of Oregon. She is the current President of the university’s CNAfME Chapter, the previous Vice President and current Secretary of the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance Dean’s Student Advisory Council, and the undergraduate student representative of the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance Committee for Equity and Inclusion. She is also a member of the University of Oregon Chamber Choir (who has the opportunity to tour Costa Rica this spring)! She works part-time at a coffee shop and in her free time, she loves to hike around the Eugene area, cook various crockpot dishes, volunteer with the Eugene Symphony, and attend local concerts and shows. Her current album on repeat is Donny Hathaway’s “Live at the Bitter End 1971” recording.
