Amber Yester has been teaching middle and high school band on the Southern Oregon coast since 2006. She is the current band director at North Bend High School and beginning band instructor at North Band Middle School. Her bands have qualified for the OSAA State Championships for the past 17 years where they have won 8 total state championships and numerous top 5 finishes. She studied music education at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and completed her Masters at the American Band College in 2011.
Amber lives with her husband Ben and their two dogs Phil and Buddha in North Bend. She is an active musician in the Coos Bay/North Bend area, playing bass and banjo in the band “The Throttles”.
