Ben Lawson is the Band and Choir Director at Redmond High School in Redmond, Oregon. Ben holds a BA in Instrumental Conducting and a MAT in Music Education from Oregon State University. Since his first year teaching he has been an active member of the Oregon Music Education Association, serving as chairs for over 25 festivals at the district level, two years on the State Executive board as 2nd Vice President and Conference Chair of the 2011 as well as conference chair for the 2022 conference. He has served four years as the All-State Jazz Band Manager and eight years as the All-NW Band Manager. Currently Ben is the Past-President of the Oregon Music Education Association. He is a certified OBDA/OSAA band adjudicator and is on staff with the Oregon Ambassadors of Music.
