All-State Dates & Deadlines

Early to Mid-May

Audition materials released on oregonmea.org/all-state

September 1

Audition and application window opens on OpusEvent.com

October 5

Audition and application window closes at 11:59:59pm on OpusEvent.com

October 6 – 17

Audition screening.

October 18 – 20

Ensemble placement.

October 21

All-State results and placement will be sent via Opus to students and directors.

October 21 – November 1

All-State registration open. Payment window closes at 11:59:59pm on November 1

November 2 – November 15 

Add/drop/alternates notified and registration and payment completed by all participants.

November 20

Student music and information folders sent to schools/teachers via email or mail.

January 14 – 17, 2027 

OMEA All-State event is held in Eugene, Oregon.

Audition submissions must only be made by OMEA member teachers in accordance with OMEA bylaws.

All-State Frequently Asked Questions

OMEA does not post the results of All-State auditions, directors are emailed via Opus.
Teachers will receive an email at the address connected with their Opus account.
Check your spam/junk folder for the email address attached to your OpusEvent.com user profile - the email from Opus is no-reply@opusevent.com.
Teachers can log into audition.opusevent.com and view the registration and payment status of each student. If a student has "unpaid" next to their name, this means they have been accepted into an ensemble and need to complete payment for the event.
Yes, teachers can log into audition.opusevent.com and complete the registration and payment process.
No.  OMEA Member Teachers must submit the initial audition application by Oct. 4. Parents/Guardians can be sent a link from the OMEA Member Teacher to process payment via credit card. If the student is accepted to All-State, parents/guardians will be sent a link via Opus that will take them directly to their student's application to complete the registration and payment via credit card.
Yes, parents/guardians can go to Opus to go directly to their students' application and complete registration and teachers/schools can log into Opus and pay for one or more students via credit card.

Email the OMEA Executive Director if a student is dropping out of an ensemble.

There are many deserving students throughout Oregon who would love the opportunity to fill those spots, but they need time to complete registration and payment, too. Please don't wait until the registration deadline to decide this.
