Hannah Abercrombie, 2nd Vice President

Hannah Abercrombie is a passionate and dedicated music educator, currently serving as the Director of Choral and Vocal Music at McKay High School in Salem, Oregon. In this role, she directs four choral ensembles, a contemporary a cappella group, and oversees musical theatre vocals. In addition, she assists the McKay Marching Band, primarily as the Visual Captionhead. Beyond her work at McKay, Hannah serves as the 2nd Vice President on the Oregon Music Education Association (OMEA) Executive Board, contributing to music education initiatives statewide.

Prior to her position at McKay, Hannah spent six years teaching band and choir at Douglas High School in Winston, Oregon—an experience she credits as pivotal to her growth as an educator. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance.

Outside the classroom, Hannah enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Andrew, and their two cats, Meelo and Momo. A proud Salem native, she feels deeply grateful to teach in her hometown and to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community of musicians and educators.
