Description
Harvey Scott celebrates diversity. The student body includes a large English as a Second Language, Special Education classes, Title I and Talented and Gifted students. Library, PE, after school clubs, sports and community service projects enrich the instructional program. Harvey Scott focuses on literacy and math with the goal of every child meeting the benchmark level by the end of fifth grade. Mathematics instruction features hands-on and problem-solving experiences, and a balanced literacy curriculum allows students to explore reading, writing and speaking in small groups.
