DESCRIPTION:This webinar offers a practical\, comprehensive approach to diagnosing and correcting frequent clarinet challenges such as squeaks\, intonation issues\, tone quality concerns\, articulation inconsistencies\, response problems\, and “why-is-it-doing-that?!” moments that every music educator encounters. Drawing on extensive experience working collaboratively with band directors and students\, corrective strategies that support both students and teachers will be demonstrated. These strategies are effective for beginners learning fundamental sound production through experienced students who are still wrestling with persistent issues. Educators will also learn how to approach diagnostics as an essential part of developing independent\, self-guided learners in the classroom. In this session\, we will discuss and review listening and visual examples\, as well as a written troubleshooting guide for immediate use in the classroom.
