Since it began\, the festival has grown in size every year\, becoming known as a premier student jazz event in the Pacific Northwest. \nThe University of Portland Jazz Festival supports the program’s mission of ”excellent teaching and individual attention in an environment that fosters development of the whole person.” Additionally\, the festival is a testament to faculty scholarship and their commitment to promoting the highest level of musical excellence. \nAs we continue to add to the rich tradition of this festival\, we look forward to welcoming new student groups\, national artists\, clinicians\, and adjudicators from across the country. DESCRIPTION:Description:\nSunriver Music Festival’s Piano Showcase integrates multiple genres of music featuring three exceptional artists: renowned classical pianist Tanya Gabrielian\, boogie woogie blues extraordinaire Arthur Migliazza\, and sophisticated jazz pianist Randy Porter in two days of concerts\, masterclasses\, and workshops celebrating the versatility and virtuosity of the piano!
