The day will include 4 different sessions geared toward singers in grades 6-12. Look for updates on the M.S. Choir Festival in April 2018 \nHS Beginning Sight Reading Skills — Erika Lockwood and Karen Bohart\, Clinicians\nDo you have singers with limited experience in solfege and music reading that are ready to increase their sight reading skills? This workshop will include group experiences to learn process\, reading strategies\, and how to incorporate basic skills into the choral repertoire. \nHigh School Advanced Sight Reading Chorus – Steve Zielke\, Clinician\nThis session is designed for experienced sight-readers in high school and college who want to improve sight reading skills through singing choral octavos. Help pave the way for your choir leaders to move your choral ensembles to the next level of literacy. The day will include 25+ choral pieces in various styles\, rhythmic exercises and practice sheets based on OSAA Sight Reading examples. \nAdult Director Session — Dr. Rodney Eichenberger\, Retired Florida State University\nRodney will bring his vast knowledge and experience in choral conducting to the adult directors and\ncollege student attendees.  \nIn addition to the participatory sessions\, we will have an excellent packet of\noctavos to read together. You will not want to miss this opportunity to learn from one of the country’s\nfinest conducting gurus.
